A summer of free entertainment in Denver kicks off on Memorial Day weekend with the Downtown Denver Arts Festival. The 2010 dates for this annual event, held at the Denver Pavilions, are May 28-31.
Some 125 top artists from throughout Colorado will display beautiful fine arts and crafts in a range of media, including ceramics, painting, sculpture, glass, jewelry, wood and photography. They were chosen by a panel of judges to fill the 125 booths lining Glenarm Street, at the intersection with the 16th Street Mall.
Denver's largest summer festival is the Capitol Hill People's Fair, held June 5-6 in Civic Center Park. Organized and run by community volunteers, it is the largest arts and crafts festival in Colorado.
