Port Dover, Ontario is located in Norfolk County on the North shore of Lake Erie. A quiet and charming resort town, Port Dover has grown quickly over the past few years and has also become one of the most popular attractions in Southern Ontario. Port Dover Harbour Museum

The original part of the Port Dover Harbour Museum is set up in an old fisherman's net shanty and preserves the history of Port Dover's fishing industry as well as the marine history of both Port Dover and Lake Erie. The galleries in the modern addition have exhibits on Lake Erie shipwrecks, ship building, Long Point and rum running.

Regular exhibits focus on local schooners and shipwrecks, the War of 1812, commercial fishing history as well as treasures from the 1852 shipwreck of the Streamer Atlantic. Exhibits at the Port Dover Harbour Museum also include artifacts from Great Lakes shipping as well as many hands-on displays. The Port Dover Harbour Museum has a wealth of marine and fishing history on display for visitors and preserves the local folklore and living tradition of Port Dover.
